Those creative and incredibly generous people at Mozilla are releasing version 3 of the world’s best browser (in my humble opinion) tomorrow (June 17), and are trying to get into the Guinness Book of Records by having the most downloads in anyone day. You can find out more about Firefox 3 and how to download here.
I was intrigued to know what the connection between Firefox and Guinness was. Now I know.
I suppose I should download the new version really although I am always a little wary of doing things to my computer incase things go wrong!
Yes, RB, the wise thing when a new version of anything comes out is not to download it straightaway but to wait until the first fire-storm of bug reports has been resolved.
My motto is never get version x.0 of anything. Wait until at least .1 and even longer if you can bear it.
Guinness? Great beer (when I used to drink), couldn’t care less about the Book of Records.
Firefox 3 has been tested in beta form for some months now. I’m obviously less risk averse than you guys.
